Spanish Rafael Nadal had an easy outing against an experienced Andreas Seppi in the second round while the fifth seeded Canadian Milos Raonic was shown the doors by An American qualifier in New York on Wednesday.
Nadal got the better off the Italian Seppi 6-0,7-5,6-1 in straight sets without sweating much. Though the match was interrupted by for few minutes with the roof to be closed, that did not do any damage to his concentration. On the other hand, much was expected of the Canada’s big-serving Raonic. But his campaign came to an abrupt end when Ryan Harrison crushed Raonic 6-7 (4-7),7-5,7-5,6-1.
Also joining the causality was French Open champion Garbine Muguruza who was knocked out by 48th ranked Anastasija Sevastova of Latvia with 7-5,6-4 scorelines.
