Back in form after a yawning gap, Team India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni looks to marshal his troops to title victory when they face New Zealand in the fourth ODI at Ranchi on Wednesday. Having won the third ODI at Mohali, India lead the five-match series 2-1. If they win this match, they will pocket the ODI series irrespective of the result of the fifth match scheduled to be played in Vizag.
Dhoni, who hit 80 runs in India’s seven-wicket victory in Mohali, comes to his home ground on the back of a solid knock and there is no better place for him to seal the series for India. He has also joined the elite 9,000 run ODI club after he promoted himself to No.4. He is all set to continue to play at the same place and express himself more. On the other hand, New Zealand are keen to draw parity with a win. Their bowling unit are doing a good job but their batsmen need to pull up their socks if they need to win the match.
