After an intense brain-storming session in Mumbai, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to appoint a four-member panel with former Supreme Court judge Markandey Katju as its head to interact with the Lodha Panel and explain the Board members of the implications of Supreme Court suggestions. Apart from Katju, another legal luminary in the panel will beAbhinav Mukherjee. Justice Katju has been a judge in the Supreme Court from 2006 to 2011 apart from being the chairman of Press Council of India.
He was also a former chief justice of Delhi High Court, Madras High Court and acting chief justice of Allahabad High Court. At the same meeting, the Board officials have decided to conduct two India-West Indies Two matches in Florida.
