Indian hockey teams fight lack of facilities at Olympic Village

The problems at the Olympic Village continue to grow eve as athletes start entering the village. With just four days to go for the games, athletes from across the globe started descending at the Village but they are being welcomed with problems. After Australians complained of unfinished building, it was Indian’s turn to face the problems. The Indian hockey team – both men and women – have reached two days before but they faced with the lack of enough chairs and tv sets in their rooms. Indian hockey coach Roelant Oltmans has written a letter to the Chef de Mission to Indian contingent Rakesh Gupta asking for more chairs and tv sets so that the Indian hockey teams can follow the opponents’ matches during the games and prepare for the battle. The organisers are yet to respond to the crisis.
