HCA ropes in Arun as Ranji coach

The Hyderabad Cricket Association has zeroed in on the new coach for the Ranji team as they roped in the Indian bowling coach Bharat Arun to change the State fortunes in the season set to kick off soon. Arun served as the bowling coach for the Indian team and that tilted in his favour after the HCA officials finalized him and Assam coach Sanath Kumar. The former Karnataka player will take charge on September 6 ahead of the new season.

Arun played two Test matches and four ODIs for the country and his experience with the Indian team expected to change the fortunes of the HCA. The Hyderabad team lies at the 26th position out of 27 teams, the last team being Tripura. HCA has also got a jolt before the start of the season with their Ranji team captain G Hanuma Vihari chose to play for Andhra and DB Ravi Teja followed the suit. So the HCA officials are in talks with the Tamil Nadu player Subramanyam Badrinath to join the team and boost the batting order.
