India’s limited over captain MS Dhoni said that the loss of wickets at the regular intervals in the second ODI saw them crumble under pressure and lose the match against New Zealand. He said that the target was tricky and India lost wickets early into their chase and then slumped to six-run loss.
India had a tremendous record at the Ferozsha Kotla ground as they never lost an ODI match in last 11 years. This is their first loss at this ground. He added that they wickets they lost were not of the great deliveries by their batsmen were caught up with the run rate and lost the runs. Despite having the run rate under control till the last over, they failed to keep wickets in hand and hence the loss.
