Crowd booing irks Games’ organisers

The organsers of the Olympic Games in Rio expressed their sadness over the hosts’ crowd booing the athletes from other countries during various events in the ongoing Olympic Games. While the Games’ main motto is to spread brotherthood and sportsmanship across the world, the crowd at the Olympic venues is behaving completely against the idea. While supporting their own country athletes in the competition is good thing, booing against other athletes bringing down the electrifying atmosphere. In the men’s pole vault event, where Brazils Thiago Braz da Selve won the gold, the crowd booed defending champion from France Renaud Lavillenie during his jump. The organisers have started having a dialogue with the crowd on social media and releasing messages in Portuguese about the right way to support and help athletes.
